Unconditional Happiness

What is it that we want?
How much of that do we need?
Our pains lie in the definitions...
Our sorrows are due to the boundaries.

We are taught about beautiful pictures,
We are conditioned about how beauty is defined.
We close our eyes to the reality and see only
That which, in those pictures is confined.

Our happiness is more about the should be's....
Always fearful and and paranoid about the would be's.
Imagine a world without restrictions...
Only then you can embrace the could be's.

And it's nothing more than a game of acceptance.
The trouble is due to all the things we think we're denied...
It's easy to say you always forget and forgive
And then never let go of the things you couldn't find.

I think we assume that there's an end goal to this entire drama...
And in the process we search, we fail, we plan.
We set milestones to achieve the unknown..
And in the process we preach, we teach, we define.

Wouldn't it be easier to live life one day at a time,
Not worry about that which lies beyond?
Wouldn't it be amazing to embrace all the possibilities,
Without containing our entire lives into a box which is tightly bound?

To cut the ropes of rules...
To unlock the chains of restrictions.
To tear apart the walls of perceived freedom
To break the cages of traditions...

That is the life where beauty would flow freely...
The life where love would be unconditional.
That is the happiness that would be eternal...

The happiness that today is unacceptable.
