Changed Perspectives

The Idea:
There are pretty much two times in life when you really appreciate the miracle of life...one when a new life is born and second when one is lost. Its sometimes interesting to notice how emotions for a given situation lead to explanation of something else much more vital.

The Conclusion:
Life and all its various parameters can be understood through various means. To many, a lot of it comes when they first feel the bump and the kick on their wife's tummy!

Changed Perspectives

Every time I touch & feel you,
The world seems like a wonder
And life…a miracle!

The certainties look faint,
The uncertainties become distant,
The colors and the brightness,
Become unimportant and unfamiliar.

My mind wanders on…
Gets lost in a world that’s yours.
I see your face so vividly,
I smell your scent very distinctly.

I live a dream at that instant,
I dream a lifetime in that moment.
I see light and dark together…
I live my today and tomorrow in that second.

Life’s sorrows mystify me no more,
Life’s joys feel like a puzzle…
The confusion being the reason
Why I could not see that which was so simple.

To you the world is a promise,
To me it’s a given…
To you I am a given…
But to me you are a promise.

And for the first time I understand,
The perspective of a given,
For the first time I realize,
The hopefulness in a promise.

Every time I touch & feel you…
I change from within.
The world seems like a gift…
And life…a beautiful present.

Mini Me

The Idea:
There was no idea behind this poem. These are the emotions that anyone would feel when Their God's Gift, is born. There are so many things that you are unaware of that stir up with the birth of a child. An Unexplainable bond, an undeniable emotion, an incredible discovery of yourself.

The Conclusion:
Be it any parent, what they all go through, hopefully, is the same. We all, always see ourselves in each of our children.

Mini Me

He is so little,
Yet he filled my world with happiness!
He fits right in one arm,
Yet he gave me the world to hold on to!

He cannot focus now,
But he has given me a direction.
He cannot talk now....
But he has explained life to me!

His expressions are so distant,
Yet he extracts the deepest emotions out of me.
His look is so lost,
Yet in him I found all my answers!

I thought I had experienced,
Every emotion that there was!
I thought I knew...
Every feeling that there could be!

But now I know...
That I have discovered a new me...
I have uncovered a new dimension,
I have established a new point of view!

To be part of whole,
I understand what that means.
I know when he looks at me...
Gives me one blank stare...
That somewhere in there...behind those eyes...
Is a part of me...looking back at me!
